The strip of land between the Baltic Sea and the Bodden provides a rich array of foods that are freshly prepared in the kitchen. First are foremost, of course, there is the fish. Salmon, zander, cod and plaice – this is just a small selection of the fish to be found on the menus. Many restaurants also offer delicious game from Darß, as well as products grown organically on the peninsula.
If you love cooking, you have to check out the region’s fresh produce. During the season, these can be purchased at the summer market, which is held on Thursdays in the town centre.
Of course, there is also a bar to round off the day in style.
